Would LOVE to review the actual dryer but over 1 week beyond when they said theyd deliver it with no promise of a guaranteed delivery day. Currently saying another week but this is the second time theyve pushed it back. Save yourself the trouble and buy a Samsung at your local box store. At least it will be delivered on time and you wont be forced to indefinitely go to a laundromat while youre out the money you used to buy this dryer with So disappointed in LGs lack of support

Im not sure why I keep getting these review requests because our experience with this dryer has been awful Within a year of purchase it quit working. It was a long and tedious process to get it fixed. Then with in 1 1/2 yrs after purchase it broke again. Same issue and again a long and tedious process to get it fixed. Then within 2 years after purchase the SAME issue happened again. The repairman said theres no reason for this part to keep going bad. I had to contact LG directly and they did extend the warranty after the first issue. But they have to contact and schedule their licensed repairman to fix any issues. We had the same guy 2 out of 3 times and to his credit he was great We never had to pay for any of the repairs but the time and money we invested in waiting for repairs and going to the laundry mat was extensive. By the third time we had the issue I contacted LG and demanded to either be refunded for an obvious malfunctioning dryer or replace it. I was told they only do that after the third repair and its case by case. Needless to say I still havent received any correspondence from LG about replacing our dryer. We did buy the washer at the same time as the dryer and it has been fine. We wont be purchasing another LG product.

Dryer cost me thousands in clothing

I purchased an LG dryer on March 21 2025. Within just a few weeks of ownership my family began noticing burn marks appearing on our clothing after drying cycles. These marks permanently damaged the garments and could not be removed. I immediately contacted LG customer support and a contracted service technician was dispatched. The technician replaced several components and advised us that the issue had been resolved. Unfortunately the dryer continued to damage clothing shortly thereafter. I then contacted LG and requested a refund. I was informed that company policy only allows refunds within the first 48 hours after purchase and that additional repair attempts would be required. A second contracted technician was scheduled but never arrived. After another call to LG an LG-employed technician was sent to inspect the dryer. He replaced additional components and left but the dryer once again began burning clothing. At that point I worked with Shonteria Holmes and received approximately $350 in compensation for damaged clothing. LG then sent the technician back for another repair attempt. This time he replaced nearly every internal component and expressed confidence that the issue had been corrected. However within a week or two the dryer once again damaged clothing. I contacted LG and demanded a refund but I was again told that the unit would need to be repaired. During a subsequent service visit the technician informed me that this was a known issue with this particular dryer model. He replaced additional components and departed. Yet again within a short period of time the dryer resumed burning clothing. After multiple unsuccessful repair attempts I escalated the matter to the LG Presidential Liaison Office. A representative took my information and advised that I would receive a return call within the next day or two. I even received a text message confirming that a callback was forthcoming. No one contacted me. After reaching out again and waiting an extended period I finally received a call from the Presidential Liaison. By that time my one-year warranty had expired. The liaison informed me that LGs only available option was to send another repair technician. After enduring numerous failed repairs and months of inconvenience I found this response unacceptable. Frustrated and exhausted by the process I ended the call and stopped pursuing the matter. For approximately another week we continued using the dryer and it continued damaging clothing. The final incident involved a new set of work clothes that were permanently ruined. As had occurred after previous repair attempts burnt lint was visibly adhered to the venting area. At that point I had lost all confidence in the product and purchased a new GE dryer the very next day. The replacement dryer has performed flawlessly and significantly outperforms the LG unit it replaced. As a long-time LG customer who has purchased numerous LG appliances for both my personal residence and rental properties I was deeply disappointed by the lack of concern demonstrated throughout this process particularly by the Presidential Liaison Office. Despite multiple documented repair attempts repeated damage to personal property and my direct request for assistance I was not offered a replacement unit a discounted replacement or any meaningful resolution. Furthermore I was never reimbursed for the additional clothing damaged after the initial $350 compensation payment. The experience has permanently damaged my trust in the LG brand. While I still own several LG products I will not purchase LG appliances in the future for either my home or rental properties. I even considered legal action but concluded that the cost of litigation would likely exceed the value of the refund I was seeking. The defective dryer remains in my garage today. I have intentionally chosen not to sell it because I would not feel comfortable passing a product with this history on to another consumer.

Drying and venting issues

I recently purchased a new dryer and have been disappointed with both the design and overall performance. The biggest issue is the venting system. The vent connection feels poorly engineered making installation more difficult than it should be and airflow does not seem efficient. Even with a properly cleaned vent line the dryer struggles to circulate heat effectively. Drying times are much longer than expected. A normal-sized load often requires two or even three cycles before clothes are fully dry which wastes both time and energy. Heavier items like towels and bedding come out damp around the edges and need additional drying. The build quality also feels underwhelming for a new appliance. Some components seem lightweight and not very durable especially around the lint filter and vent connection areas. For the price I expected a much more reliable and better-designed product. Overall this dryer has been frustrating to use due to the poor venting design inconsistent drying performance and excessive drying times. I would not recommend it unless the manufacturer improves the airflow system and overall quality.

This has been an awful experience. My dryer started burning our clothes within a week of having it. They sent a repair person took 5 weeks and a lot of confusing calls and texts on LG part he changes the vent and main board. The dryer gets hotter and ruined my sheets comforter and more of our clothes. I file a complaint with the BBB who assures me she will follow up after my second repair. Well the second company shows up to tell me the first tech made the issue worse. That was 2.5 weeks ago and still waiting on corporate to contact me about all my ruined stuff. There are in no rush to do so. Ill never ever ever ever buy LG again.

My husband and I bought the washer and dryer almost 7 months ago. Its now been a month since our dryer stopped working we kept getting the gas error code. It took forever to get a hold of someone through customer service and they told us to call our gas company. We bought a warranty and arent going to pay for the gas company to come out to tell us we have gas Two days later they finally tell us they will send someone out. Then they send the wrong part to the repair company then the part we thought we needed was wrong and the whole mainboard on the dryer needs replaced. Fast forward another two weeks and we call LG tuesday of this week for them to tell us the part isnt even available until thursday. So now we have been without a dryer for a month we have had to take time off of work to be here when a repair tech comes in the middle of the day and LG never gets back to you about anything you will always be the one reaching out. Quality of the products after a short period of time along with horrid customer servicestay away.

Only had this dryer for 6 months before receiving a gas error. LG customer service was very hard to get a tech out to the house. After arguing with them to actually schedule service they came out 4 days later only to say parts need to be ordered. Parts were ordered only to be one week later and parts were broken. Parts were ordered again tech was out one week later only for them not to fix the issue. A main board was ordered scheduled to be out that n next week only to never arrive. Now I have been waiting 2 MORE weeks for a main board that lg customer service is useless in helping get shipped. I have been out of a dryer for 4 weeks and counting just to fix a issue that should have been a replacement in the first place. I will never buy a lg product again.

The dryer they provided is was defective from the factory floor. It didnt dry at all and had their appliance repair guy come and he replaced the thermal coil. They give every excuse outside of the dryer as to why it doesnt work and I fixed all the other issues and they wont come back to repair it. Honestly this completely lost my faith in LG and I will never purchase anything else from this company ever again. their customer service is extremely poor and they send you unqualified technicians to basically not fix it. 0/5 stars if it were possible.

Bad touch controls

Really bad touch control panel. No one cautioned me about it and let me know there was a similar model with normal buttons. I have to push the start button 15 to 20 times to run the dryer. Called service who witnessed how many times I had to push the button. Said it was working as designed and told me about the other model. Too late for me to swap. Im annoyed every time I use the dryer. The dryer door is great.

Product is great. However I would not recommend ordering directly from LG. Our order was delayed over a month without any explanation as to why and it was nearly impossible to get any answers from LG. When the unit was finally delivered it was damaged and when RXO installed the unit it was hooked up incorrectly resulting in water damage to my home. LG has not assisted in any compensation for the delayed order damaged unit or water damage to my home.

After purchasing this dryer it worked for two weeks then quit had an error code gas used the computer chat feature on the LG site and really got nowhere so we tried it again a few days later and finally got a service call number a request into a local service provider but they have yet to contact us to come out and fix your dryer its been almost a week and we still have not heard from anyone. I am going to try again today to get ahold of someone and hopefully get this dryer fixed. So far not very happy with LG or its products.

Have had this dryer for 6 weeks and not only is it great looking it dries great too. The only drawback is that I am afraid to use the easy load door. I had the dryer for 2 days and just checking out the features I opened the easy open door top tilts forward and it would not close and we could not use it without a service call to fix the locking mechanism. LG had great customer service and fixed it the next day but the design could use improvement. The model in the store had the same problem except it was taped closed and now I know why.. Needless to say I only use the side open feature now and avoid the easy-open out of fear that it will malfunction again.
